Festival Academy – Masterclasses voor viool, altviool & cello
Ook dit jaar organiseren we voorafgaand aan ons festival een Academy, in 2023 al voor de 3e keer.
Let op: Inschrijven kan tot 4 april!
Van 4 tot en met 7 mei kunnen studenten zich onderdompelen in de muziek.

Introductie
De masterclasses voor viool, altviool en cello met internationaal gerenommeerde docenten en
solisten bieden een goede gelegenheid om een week bezig te zijn met de voorbereiding van het
nieuwe studiejaar, een repetitie, een concertoptreden, een concours of een examen of vrije
programmakeuze uit het solo- en concertrepertoire.
Met zijn vergezichten, boomgroepen, vijverpartijen en padenstelsels is de 19e eeuwse historische
buitenplaats Ipenoord in Oostkapelle, gelegen op het mooie Zeeuwse eiland Walcheren, een
uitzonderlijke omgeving voor intensief werken aan artistieke en professionele ontwikkeling.
Uitgenodigd zijn
Studenten en jonge studenten van muziekuniversiteiten, muziekhogescholen en conservatoria |
gevorderden van muziekscholen en privélessen | professionele muzikanten | instrument docenten.
Semi-professionele musici/amateurs die vanuit een professionele invalshoek aan het werk willen
gaan, worden voorlopig slechts in beperkte mate toegelaten. Extra plaatsen kunnen pas geboekt
worden na de deadline van 4 april, op basis van beschikbare plaatsen.
De cursussen staan open voor deelnemers van alle nationaliteiten vanaf 14 jaar. Uitzonderingen op
de minimumleeftijd zijn mogelijk in overleg met de Artistiek leider.

De volgende faciliteiten zijn bij de masterclasses inbegrepen
3 individuele lessen | pianobegeleiding (door repetitor) | deelname aan kamermuziek met de
docenten | alle lessen zijn openbaar │ podiumtraining | afsluitend openbaar concert met gratis
toegang (selectie)| gebruik recreatieruimtes | actieve deelnemers ontvangen een
participatiediploma.
De deelnemers kunnen oefenen in hun hotelkamer, extra oefenruimtes voor externe deelnemers
zijn niet beschikbaar!
Vrije tijd
Het strand van Oostkapelle behoort tot de mooiste en schoonste van Nederland. Buitenplaats
Ipenoord/Green White bevindt zich op slechts 2 kilometer van strand en zee. Daarnaast grenst
buitenplaats Ipenoord/Hotel Green White aan het Staatsnatuurmonument “de Manteling”.
Registratietermijn
Let op de inschrijftermijn/aanmelddeadline! Vanwege de grote belangstelling en het beperkte aantal
deelnemers raden wij aan tijdig in te schrijven. Latere inschrijvingen kunnen worden overwogen als
er nog plaatsen over zijn.
Slotconcert
Het laatste openbare concert vindt plaats op zondag 7 mei om 16.00 uur in de Serre van
buitenplaats Ipenoord. De docenten selecteren de deelnemers.

Introduction
The masterclasses for violin, viola and cello with internationally renowned teachers and soloists offer a great opportunity to spend a week preparing the new academic year, a concert performance, a competition or an exam. The masterclass takes place at the 19th century landgoed Ipenoord. With its wide views, groups of trees and ponds, the estate is located in Oostkapelle, a small town in the region of Zeeland, an exceptional environment for intense work on artistic and professional development.
Invited are
Students and young professionals from music universities, music colleges and conservatories, advanced students from music schools and private teachers. Semi-professional musicians/amateurs who want to work from a professional angle are only allowed to a limited extent for this moment. Additional places can only be booked after the deadline of April 4, based on available places. The courses are open to participants of all nationalities from the age of 14. Exceptions to the minimum age are possible in consultation with our Artistic director. The following facilities are included in the master classes 3 individual lessons | piano accompaniment | participation in chamber music with the teachers | all classes are public │ stage training | final concert (selection of participant by the teachers) with solo and chamber music performances| use of recreation areas | active participants receive a participation diploma. The participants can practice in their hotel room, additional practice rooms for external participants are not available!
Leisure
Oostkapelle beach is one of the most beautiful in the Netherlands. Estate Ipenoord/Green White is located within 2 kilometers from the beach. In addition, Ipenoord/Hotel Green White is located at the nature reserve “de Manteling” and therefore a wonderful place to hike, run and bike.
Registration terms
Pay attention to the registration period/registration deadline! Due to the great interest and the limited number of places available, we recommend that participants register in time. Subsequent enrollments may be considered as there are still places left.
The final concert will take place on Sunday May 7th at 4 p.m. at Ipenoord country estate. The teachers select the participants. Furthermore, at the end of this concert, the board of the Academy, in consultation with the teachers, will award the Festival Zeeland Klassiek Award, which will offer the most remarkable participant professional concert opportunities in July 2024.
